Richard has lived in Marlow for over 40 years, currently in Mill Road.

He has been a local Councillor since 2003 and was the Town Mayor for 2006 – 08. And again 2019-20.

He has also been Chairman of the Town Council Finance Committee ensuring that essential services were maintained and improved at the lowest possible cost to the Council taxpayer. He is a strong supporter of the Vision for Marlow and will work for all residents to ensure that Marlow retains its unique and vibrant character, whilst enjoying the benefits of the 21st century.

He has been one of your Wycombe District Councillors for Marlow since 2008 and has served as Leader of the Council.  He also served a term as Marlow’s County Councillor.

He is a self-employed Chartered Accountant and after a career in senior financial roles in the service sector, now runs his own business consultancy.

George Sandy, together with his wife Sally arrived in Taplow in 1971. Their three daughters were educated at a mix of local schools comprising; St Nicolas, Burnham Grammar, and St. Bernard’s.   George held several directorships during his career. Mainly in sales, marketing & retailing. One of the latter included the Fullers chain of cake & patisserie shops, and he also held the position of Head of Retail of London Regional Transport.
