Joy Morrissey is the new Conservative Candidate

Beaconsfield selects Morrissey

At a packed special general meeting of the Beaconsfield Constituency Conservative Association meeting on Saturday, Joy Morrissey was overwealmingly selected by members of the association as the Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the Beaconsfield constituency at the general election on the 12th December 2019.

Joy is a councillor for Ealing Council, mother and previous Parliamentary Candidate in the 2017 general election. Joy is a defender of the greenbelt, opposes the 3rd runway at Heathrow Airport, opposes the HS2 project and supports enhanced investment in local health and road infrastructure, and investment in additional resources for Thames Valley Police, the local NHS, local schools in Buckinghamshire and honouring the EU referendum result and getting Brexit done.

After her spectacular victory at the selection meeting Joy said “It is a tremendous honour to have the opportunity to represent the constituents of the beautiful constituency of Beaconsfield. I will be moving here with my young daughter and husband to become an active member of the local community. Campaigning on local issues important to residents. Always representing their views at Parliament”.
