Santokh Singh Chhokar BSc(Hons), Solicitor(Hons), FRSA

A grammar school educated graduate of London University and qualified as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Santokh is Senior Partner of Chhokar & Co Solicitors which has offices in Southall and Slough. (www.chhokar.com).

Santokh's family has been established in the UK since 1958 and has a fine tradition of public service and community involvement – both in the UK and India.

In 2000 the Chhokar family established Mata Chanan Kaur Charitable Trust to support educational, sporting, vocational and welfare initiatives. Santokh serves as Director of Capital Small Finance Bank based in North India.

In the UK Santokh has served as President of Middlesex Law Society, Trustee and Adviser to numerous charitable, educational and voluntary organisations.

Within BCCA Santokh has been active since 2001 - regularly working at branch level and campaigning in local and national Elections. He has served as Deputy Chairman of BCCA, Deputy Chairman and Secretary of SBDC Conservative Group as well as Chairman of Gerrards Cross Branch of BCCA.

Between 2005-2007 Santokh served as a Parish Councillor in Gerrards Cross Parish Council .

Since 2007 Santokh has represented Gerrards Cross in South Bucks District Council. Santokh was elected as Vice Chairman for 2 years and as Chairman for 2 years.

Santokh is married to Ranjit and they have three children Jaspal, Harpal and Harpreet.
