Nick Naylor was first elected to Burnham Parish and South Bucks District Councils in 2011. In 2012, he took over the Environment Portfolio for the District Council, responsible for refuse and waste, recycling, open spaces and car parks. He oversaw the introduction of the new waste service in 2014. He was re-elected in 2015, and appointed Cabinet member for Planning and Sustainable Development and Deputy Leader of South Bucks District Council. He led the planning shared-service review and its implementation. He was elected Leader of South Bucks in 2017, and has led the Council through the transition to the new Buckinghamshire Unitary Council. As well as Leader of South Bucks, he has served on the Buckinghamshire Shadow Executive since its beginning and is Portfolio Holder for Planning.
