District Councillor for Farnham Royal David Anthony is a long-time resident of South Bucks acutely aware of the issues facing those of us who live near the Slough border.
“I shall aim to protect the Green Belt, and to minimise local problems such as crime and the heavy traffic passing through our District. More than ever in these difficult times, it is vital to ensure that the Council delivers value for money. With my financial background I shall take a particular interest in budgeting and expenditure so as to minimise taxes while ensuring that front-line services are maintained and improved. I shall do my best for all the people who live in our community.
I studied modern history at Oxford University and subsequently trained in the City of London as a chartered accountant. My career was spent in financial services and I retired last year as CEO of Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC.
I have lived in South Bucks for 30 years and am married with two grown-up children. My leisure interests include poetry (two books published), classic cars, hill walking and table tennis.
