Carol Heap

Buckinghamshire Council Candidate
Candidate for Marlow Town Ward (1 of 3)

I have enjoyed all the many benefits of living in Marlow, with my family, for almost 35 years.

During that time I have been actively engaged with the community in a number of ways, most recently as a Trustee and Local Ambassador for Community lmpact Bucks, providing support to local charities and organisations. As Vice Chair of Marlow Conservative Association I have been an active member, campaigning in local elections, attending political meetings and forums, and representing Marlow on the Executive Council at Beaconsfield. I am passionate about local politics and making a real and tangible difference in the community where I live.

I am an outgoing and confident individual with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. I have the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of people. I would like very much to have the opportunity to give something back to the community by representing the Town as a Councillor on the new Buckinghamshire Unitary Council.

lf elected to the Council, I would be particularly interested in working in the areas of Health and Communities, Education and Environment and I will be a strong voice for the people of Marlow, ensuring that as the new authority is established the Town is well represented at Buckinghamshire Council level, and local issues are addressed.
