Barbara Gibbs

I am both delighted and honoured to have been selected the County Councillor in the Gerrards Cross division which includes Hedgerley and part of North Beaconsfield. For the last two years I have served on the SBDC as an active member of three Committees, Planning, Audit and Overview and Scrutiny where I have used my extensive experience to try to gain the best outcomes for local residents. I am very active in the local community where I am the Chairman of the Gerrards Cross Conservatives. I am a member of Misbourne Matins Rotary club where I serve as the Safeguarding officer. I am an enthusiastic member of Rotary and support many activities including helping at the Gerrards Cross Jumble sale. I am on the Governing body of Beaconsfield High School. I am interested in ensuring that the quality of life for residents is maintained and if possible enhanced. For this to happen, particularly when funding is tight, new solutions to existing problems need to be found. Continuing to build on the self confidence and therefore resilience of all is surely part of the way forward. I am a strong advocate for reevaluating existing practices, preserving what is effective but looking for fundamental change where appropriate.
